I'm still amazed the looks I get from people when I tell them I'm a geek. I get called things like, "guru," "Mr. Wizard," "Computer Guy," and the ilk. Call me what I am, a geek, but only in the modern sense of the word, ignoring completely it's eytmology. I do not bite the heads off of live chickens (is that even legal anymore?). According to dictionary.com, a geek is

The official launch today of abort73.com prompted me to write on this website about my experience in a change of mind about the issue of abortion. The official Democrat position is that abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare.” We saw recently reelected California Senator Barbara Boxer “heroically” stand up for her values when she declared, “we will not go back to the days of back allies.” You can see that she is an advocate of “abortion on demand” from her voting record as reported by issues2000.org. So, how are the Democrats doing? |

Sanctification is both the process of putting off the old, and putting on the new. Put off pride and put on humility. Exodus 10:3 Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him, "Thus says the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me'" Duet 8:2 - 3"You shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. 3"He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD."

So, by my calculations, JC will be turning about
2,008-years-old this year (seeing as it's estimated that He was born in
4 BC). And to think, He probably doesn't look a day older than
33!
When I was about eight, I had the sweetest Sunday School teacher, Mrs.
Ferris (also one of my best friend's mom). I can remember when she
introduced me to the concept that Christmas is Jesus' birthday and yet
we are the ones that get the gifts. Why is that? I remember that she
told us what Jesus really wanted for his birthday was our hearts. Not
really understanding the concept that my heart is a metaphor for the
essential being within me, the "ID" that I am, the "real" me of my
thoughts and will, I was a little disturbed at the prospect of having
to make do without my heart if I gave it to Jesus as His birthday
present.
